Good product and a step up over the WR-100. We bought this one because it has the features of only using the alert for which we were concerned about. We were awaken in the middle of the night previously for flash flood warnings in our county and we live no where close to that threat.

This product is easy to use and the manual included instructions on how to find the county codes that I wanted to program into the radio. The siren is easily heard throughout the house which comes in handy if I'm either away from the TV or watching a channel that doesn't update me on local weather. I also like that I can program other radio stations into this radio so that even during great weather I can listen to my favorite station.

Does everything it claims to do. Excellent product, good reception, and can go portable.
Take the time to program the type of alerts you want to receive. I don't believe you will be interested in an avalanche or blizzard alert while you are in Florida or a marine alert in Colorado.
I take this with me while traveling in the motorhome and depend on it for weather advisories and alerts. Excellent investment.
