Rating  - complete junk
I ordered three pair of these stands to hold my hsuresearch speakers (8"x8" base, 20lbs). Of the six stands, two were entirely defective: stripped bolts, broken welds; the pillars are cheap, thin-walled aluminum. the bolts and spikes flimsy. The stands are unstable (base is too small) and poorly manufactured. i have no confidence that these stands will perform over time. In other words, spend a little more for better quality.
Also, bear in mind the cost of returning these if you are not happy with them. After shipping (and possible "restocking fee" (yeah, right)), you might come out the other end spending more money returning them then just chucking them in a closet (as i did.)
Rating  - Excellent Speaker stands for the Price
I previously had speaker stands that looked a lot like the Sanus EF-28B so I was a little weary of buying them. It's a good thing that i did because the build and finish of the speaker stands is excellent! I am using it with my Wharfedale Book shelf speakers that are close to 20lbs. It looks and feels stable. The only drawback is the fact that the rubber pads on the bottom of the feet sometimes come loose. It's not a major problem so it should not affect the rating I give it. I was going to buy a 24" stand but I am happy that these stands are a little higher at 28" because it is level to my ears when sitting down on the couch. Overall, I am very happy with it!

Bought these from Amazon, and when they arrived, a few main parts were missing from the box. Emailed Amazon customer service, and within 24hrs I had another set on the way to me, shipped overnight, at no additional charge. Amazon really showed me customer service is a priority for them, and made me really happy to shop here, I feel totally safe buying from Amazon and trust when there is something wrong, I'll be taken care of. That in itself gives these stands a great review, let alone how nice the actual stands are. Great construction, easy to assemble, soild feel. Very happy with them. Great price Amazon has them for.
