You can't get an even 5,000 staples in a box if each strip is the same length and contains 210 staples. It looks like you get 24 strips: three columns of four rows of pairs of strips. I had a hard time counting the number of staples in each strip (maybe another day?). If we just accept that there are 210 staples per strip, then a box has 5,040 staples -- and you get an extra 40 free.
