Very good product. Very convenient. I use it for my home network and since I have a notebook and so does my wife, it makes printing easy. A little bit of trouble with the installation because I have a Mac and my wife has a PC.

- Easy to set up!
Just got this printer this week. After reading many of the helpful hints other reviewers gave, I used the "cable" set-up, even though I have a one-touch Linksys router. It worked great. I then loaded the printer drivers to my laptop, and I am printing from wherever I am.

Good print quality and not much more of a footprint than my old HP Inkjet. It is a bit loud, but that's many because it is right next to my PC for now. I am planning on moving it.

Got printer today, installed in minutes, works perfectly. I knock off a star because I connected to Win XP thru USB 2.0 cable. Cable does not come with printer. I had to dig up a cable.

(Please note that this entire "review" applies only to those who intentionally set MAC filtering on the wireless router so that only known MAC addresses can use the router.) The standard directions (Install using temporary network cable) worked for me with one important caveat: if you use MAC filtering on your router, the MAC address that appears in the setup is the wrong one to use. - Troublesome install under Vista
After about 3 hours of troubleshooting, I finally got it to work. After searching the net, I found that it isn't necessarily a Brother problem, but a network printer problem with Vista (XP doesn't have this problem). Still I wasn't the first to have these problems (lots of people seem to have the same problem), and Brothers support site makes no mention of it. I called tech support but they were closed for the weekend.
